Join the Harvest: Volunteer Grape Picking at Galleywood Vineyard This Autumn

As the end of summer nears and the vines glow in the soft autumn sun, harvest season arrives at Galleywood Vineyard - a time of celebration, community, and exceptional English wine.

We’re inviting you to be part of this special moment by volunteering to help pick grapes with us. Whether you're a long-time harvest volunteer or a new volunteer who is simply curious about vineyard life, our harvest days are a social, fun and rewarding way to experience the heart of winemaking.

Wine & Food Treats: All volunteers are treated to a morning hot drink with biscuits in the vines, a hearty ploughmans lunch in the winery building, and one of the reasons our volunteers come back each year!! tea and cake in the vines just before you finish your day and head home with a bottle of our wine to say thank you for volunteering.

Who Can Join?

Anyone over 18 with a love for the outdoors and a  pair of Secateurs! No experience necessary - our team will guide you through everything you need to know on the day.

When & How to Sign Up

Harvest this year should begin in Mid to late September, depending on how the grapes ripen. We’ll confirm the start dates as soon as the grapes let us know that their sugar and acid levels are ready to produce quality wine.
